MY RECENT WALL ART

 THE COFFEE PREDATOR

This is our monster, and very close to our heart, my first experiment with pigment and preserved used coffee grounds. Created using the liquid acrylic pouring method, this monster is not for sale, lives in our kitchen and is only available as a tee shirt for those who wish for their love and sometimes desperation for a coffee to be apparent for all to see.

 THE COFFEE CANYON

My first attempt at depicting an aerial image using coffee grounds and pigments, again not for sale, this lives in our workspace.

 TRIBAL COFFEE

My experiment with movement and plywood  as a substrate, again it has found its home already.

 BAROQUE COFFEE BLUES

A three piece fluid acrylic set,

These pieces were mixed and poured over a five hour period, then dried for a month.  They are now undergoing their first of four coats of resin adding another four hours of work to the set they shall be shiny so will add light and reflection into a room.

 RESIN SURFACING

Three or four coats of resin gives a depth and reflection to the work.

THE PROCESS OF CREATING FLUID ART

Fluid art both using resin and acrylic paints, has in the last year really taken off in many parts of the world, usually abstract, by its nature it does not allow for fine detail other than in the reaction of the different paints additives used, sometimes creating cells, sometimes mixing colours together using chains pulled through needles to swirl, or actually making the fluidity and gravity and flow of air work to distribute the paint in different ways.

I MIXED THE PAINT WITH THE MEDIUM, LAYERED IN CUPS THEN POURED

Acrylic fluid art is acrylic paint in a pouring medium, usually latex based, water soluble, I have also used pigments, coffee grounds, and inks for colors, many different techniques are used to manipulate the paint, but very rarely brushes.

PUTTING ON THE GOLD PAINT BEFORE TILTING AND WORKING WITH THE PAINT BY TILTING AND WORKING THE PAINT WITH SPATULARS

In this exercise I was experimenting with large canvases, pouring on three at once. Aiming to get a series of canvases, that had the movement throughout the three, although they would be hung a little apart.

 FIRE ON THE MOUNTAINS

A three piece work using a liquid acrylic technique, finished in resin. each piece 50x50cm

Details below, please contact me if you would like a skype viewing. These pieces will be in an exhibition in Munich in the near future,  This technique is appropriate for abstracted landscapes of a progressive nature,  floral abstracts. Liquid acrylic art can be reasonably quick to produce in this form but requires a month of curing and resining.
